LATE M. D. SHEWALE SAHEB Ex General Secretary, D.C.M.S. Pune
Under the guidance and Leadership of Late M. D. Shewale (Ex General Secretary, D.C.M.S. Pune) in 1970, for the Provision of Education to the Down prodder and the Dalits, Mahatma Jyotiba School at Pisoli (Rural area, near to Pune) was established. In 1968, National level Physical training camp was organised and the chairperson of Physical training Institute from all the states attended the Camp.
In 1972, as it was the Silver Jubilee of Independence of India, a Sports Meet of five thousand youths took place in Delhi and for this occasion 15 Students for the Mallakhamb Team from the School of this Institute were selected and they performed well.
In 1974-75, National level residing match was organised at Imphal (Manipur State) Shri. Pandit Shinde student of our school was selected for the match by Maharashtra Government.
Under the guidance and Leadership of Late M. D. Shewale (Ex General Secretary, D.C.M.S. Pune) in 1970, Mahatma Gandhi Hostel was established for the students of rural area especially for the Dalits.
In 1982, on occasion of Asiad Games, which took place in Delhi to represent, Maharashtra Lezim Team, 34 students and 4 teachers from our society’s school were selected.
On 1st June 1983, at Amble, Tal. Shirur, Dist. Pune Maharshi Shinde Highschool was established for the students of rural area.
There was not any College in the Eastern area of Pune City to provide college education in Marathi medium so our institute established Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Commerce and Maharshi V. R. Shinde Arts College, on 15th June 1984 to enable college education for socioeconomic and backward class students and as well as lower percentage students.
